Who It’s For: People who love live versions of songs they already have
Sounds Like: Important people in Canadian music

The who’s who in Canadian music are all gathered here on this live disc from CBC Radio 3, which I understand only steams online nowadays.

The people likely to buy this record probably already own the albums these songs come from, or have at least downloaded them. Needless to say, there really isn’t any reason to rush out and pick this up. Though I will say it is an enjoyable mix and a good gift for a casual listener or someone looking for some quality down-tempo.

It’s nice to hear familiar songs sounding a little more raw and grassroots, and hey, maybe if enough people buy this CBC can make it into a weekly TV series.
