Cobra Starship
¡Viva La Cobra!
5/5

Who It’s For:
Hipsters that need to take themselves less seriously and emo kids that need stop being pussies.
Sound Like: Panic! At The Disco with break-beats and a better sense of humour.

Everyone will always remember Cobra Starship for their biggest hit "Snakes On A Plane" which is a shame considering they're the best dance-rock group around these days. It doesn't say much for them, being at the head of a genre that isn't nearly as commercially successful as its relatives, but it's accurate.

With the release of Viva La Cobra, their sophomore effort after When The City Sleeps We Rule The Streets, Cobra Starship show that they're only getting better and working on expanding their style. This album has a lot more beats and features Victoria Asher, on the keytar, in a more central role.

The first three tracks of the album are about as catchy and hook-laden as they come, but also with a high level of dance-ability. The first single "Guilty Pleasure" WILL get stuck in your head after a listen or two.

Singer/song writer Gabe Saporta has done it again and really put together an album that's both rockable and danceable but, most importantly, fun to listen to.
