Who It’s For:
People who haven’t liked a Korn album in a long time
Sounds Like: Older Korn

Though Korn were pioneers of an entire musical movement, most people remember them for their earlier releases and less for the more recent ones. And with good reason, in recent years the albums were getting boring, repetitive and, well, lame. Luckily, for the Korn fans that stuck it out, Untitled is a more than decent disc that can hold up to repeated plays.

Though not as raw as their first two albums, Untitled isn’t overproduced, nor is it phoned in. Maybe needing to rethink the band as a trio instead of a 5 piece forced the remaining members to pare down. Whatever the cause, the result is a more musical effort than previous ones and Jonathan Davis has never sounded this good.

For fans that gave up on new music from Korn years ago, thinking you’d never buy a new Korn CD, give it a try. You never know, they might surprise you just when you least expect it.
