KT Tunstall
Drastic Fantastic
5/5
Who It’s For: Chick rock fans
Sounds Like: A little Jewel, with Alanis and Dido all wrapped together
After hearing KT’s first album, Eye To The Telescope, I was sure that Ms. Tunstall would fall to the sophomore album curse because it would be nearly impossible for KT to pull off another record with as much soul and fun as her first album was.
Like in most situations, I was wrong.
With her trademark throaty vocals and her kick-ass beats Tunstall not only matches the quality of her first album but surpasses it.
This little Scottish girl, who only made her debut into the music world after headliner Nas pulled out of a show and the promoters were scrambling for a replacement, has so much power and soul in her 5”2’ frame that she blows away her listeners with each and every song she performs.
Whether you are a fan of chick rock or not Tunstall is a must have disc for all music fans.
