Romeo Liquor Store
Switchblade
3.7/5

Whoa Nelly! What is goin’ on here? 80’s hair metal meets System of a Down bass lines with raunchier vocals than Kiss. At first thought, ewwwww dude! This vibe is so over. On second thought, I feel like fuckin dancing!

This band is undoubtedly talented in the rollercoaster guitar and bass rides department. With cheesy licks sprinkled throughout songs you got to wonder how you are enjoying songs like “Discoteka de los Muertos,” which stands for Disco of the Dead in English. These tunes grab influence from overplayed genres and somehow reinvent them to create an appeal for the new wave crowd. Heavy and hard hitting while at the same time light and playful, Romeo Liquor Store really only ask you to loosen up and party! And if rocking hair metal tinged hard rock is the way to get ‘er done, than I’m all for it!
